When booking a recording session or project at Bounce Recording Studios, you are entering into a contract by which you are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of the artist/band to abide by the studio’s terms and conditions as detailed below



Booking a recording session

Session bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval from a member of the Bounce team. Bounce Recording Studios reserve the right to refuse and reschedule any confirmed bookings. Bookings are made by the following methods only via:

Bookings are not valid until confirmed and deposit paid.



Payment can be made with cash or credit/debit card. A 1.5% credit card fee may be applied if paying by AMEX, Mastercard or VISA. It is the responsibility of the artist to cover the cost of each session in full either in advance or on the day of the session. A 20% (minimum $50) deposit is required to confirm all bookings by phone or direct deposit. In the case of special promotions, the deposit may vary.  The remainder of the studio invoice should be paid in full on the first day of your session. Late payment will lead to an additional fee of $50, and refusal to pay may lead to prosecution.

Failure to produce full payment on the day of each session will also result in the studio withholding session time, all copies of recordings, masters or session files until all fees have been paid and funds have cleared. If the recording session is broken up over a period of time (8hrs+), payment will be required either in advance or in instalments to cover time that has been used. Bounce Recording Studios reserves the right to implement these payment terms where applicable. All session files are deleted from Bounce's hard drives 90 days after session completion unless otherwise specified. Please bring a backup storage device if you require a project backup.

Normal payment terms for recording packages are: 50% non-refundable deposit due at the commencement of project, 25% due upon competition of the recording phase to start the editing/mixing phase and final 25% due upon completion of the mixing stage before sending to mastering.  Bounce Recording Studios reserves the right to adjust these terms to suit the client's circumstances before the project commences agreed to by the client.



24 hours notice is required for the cancellation of a session; this includes weekends and public holidays.  If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, full payment will be required to book further sessions. No Call/No shows that have paid deposit will result in loss of monies and studio time and deposit is non refundable.  If a cancellation is made 24 hours or more before the scheduled session, the session will be rescheduled.  Deposits are non refundable. Cancellations as a result of extreme circumstances will be rescheduled. 

Cancellation of recording packages under any circumstance will incur a 50% penalty of monies paid to cover loss of business and any work that has been completed by Bounce or our sub-contractors/companies.  Work completed is not eligible for any discounts or special rates applied to the original package and is re-calculated at the service retail rates.  If work completed exceeds the amount of the 50% penalty, this will be subtracted from the remaining 50%.  Any money owing to the client after the penalty has been calculated will be given as a studio credit only and can be used for studio time at Bounce Recording Studios within the following 12 months.  In the case of the work completed or costs incurred by Bounce Recording Studios exceeds monies paid, the client will be billed for the outstanding cost and refusal to pay may lead to prosecution.


Amendments to Recording Packages

Amendments made to the contents of services in a recording package will  be dealt with in a case-by-case manner.  Any extra costs or services as a result of amendments during the project (ie. number of songs, extra musicians or services) will be billed separately.  Work completed that will not be used or taken to the final product due to amendments for any reason will be counted as part of the project.  Any work or service no longer required due to an amendment, will be refunded as a studio credit only valid for 12 months at the discretion of Bounce Recording Studios.   



Unmetered street parking is available.  Please refrain from parking in the factory complex as these spots are reserved for surrounding businesses and staff.


Breakages and damages to studio equipment

Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the artist/band/individual. Refusal to pay for breakages will lead to exclusion and prosecution. If an item of equipment is damaged or missing at the start of your session please report it to the session technician/engineer immediately.


Personal items/lost property

Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Bounce Recording Studios is not responsible for any personal items that are lost or damaged on the premises.



Clients are allowed a maximum of 4 guests during the recording sessions. Bounce Recording Studios must be given 24hr notice when requesting additional guest & apply. Client must get approval from Bounce staff member prior to showing up with additional guest.



Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the studio complex. If you leave the premises to smoke, please ensure that you are a safe distance from the studio and that your cigarette stubs are disposed of appropriately. When leaving and entering the complex, please remember that the entry door must be kept shut and locked at all times. Any theft or damages that occur as a result of the door being left open will be chargeable to the artist/band.



You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into the studio; however, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Please store your food and drink in the kitchen/foyer area. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged as per our damages policy above. Please help us to keep the studio tidy by placing any rubbish in the trash bins provided.  Moderate alcohol is permitted for the purpose of relaxation.  Bounce staff reserve the right to terminate any session if a client or their guests become intoxicated and full payment will be due.  Illegal drug use is not permitted anywhere on the premises and will be reported to the police. 


If you cannot abide by the above terms and conditions, please do not book a recording session
